Headed by a Senior Urologist, Dept. of Urology has won the confidence of people belonging to Pondicherry, Villupuram, Tindivanam and Marakkanam areas. Department has expertise and the Institution has provided the Department with all the facilities to handle patients with various urological disabilities belonging to its various subsections – Paediatric Urology, Neurourology, Endourology, Urological Trauma, Andrology, Female Urology, Urooncology and Reconstructive Urology.  All the urological emergencies Eg., Colics due to  urinary stones, retention urine and urosepsis and handled immediately  with precision and care with the support of dialysis unit, the dept. is already undertaking surgeries on patients with renal failure.  The hospital has provided the department with modern endoscopic gadgets with energy sources to manage urinary stones.  The elderly with prostatic cancer and benign prostatic obstruction are handled with care and facilitated to get high quality of life.  The various conditions that affect continence of urine in the elderly and children are addressed to.  The administration is all set to get a license to the Department from the Government to perform routine kidney live donor transplantation and Cadaver kidney transplantation.
