The department is functional on six days a week catering to outpatients with Headache, Stroke, Epilepsy, Neuromuscular disorders, neurodegenerative disorders like ataxia, dementia and Movement disorders. In-patients in all ICUs, General and Private wards with Neurological Emergencies and Consultations are attended to.

In-patients in Neurology are catered to on all working days.

The rehabilitation of patients with stroke and other neurological disorders who need care during the recovery has to be multidisciplinary with well experienced ,qualified team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, clinical psychologists and neuropsychologist and medical social worker who support the patients for complete functional freedom.

The Neurophysiology laboratory is equipped with EEG and EMG machines with two technicians. EEG, EMG, Nerve Conduction Studies, Evoked Potentials are reported and interpreted by the Consultants. Neonatal and Paediatric EEG are performed.
